La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo Milky Cleanser is a 200 ml gentle cleanser for sensitive skin, using a milky rather than foaming texture. That texture choice is the whole design: foaming surfactants clean effectively but strip the skin's protective lipids, which for sensitive skin means stinging, tightness and redness after every wash — a milk dissolves makeup, sunscreen and daily grime without disturbing the barrier. Skin is left genuinely clean but comfortable and hydrated rather than squeaking. It removes eye makeup gently without tugging at the delicate skin around the eyes, and it can be wiped away or rinsed depending on preference, which is useful if hard water aggravates your skin. Fragrance-free, alcohol-free and suitable for reactive, allergy-prone and rosacea-prone skin, and a sensible option if you have concluded that every cleanser irritates you. Apply to dry or damp skin, massage gently, then remove with a cotton pad or rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with a soothing moisturiser.
