CeraVe Gentle Hydrating Shampoo brings the brand's barrier-repair science to hair and scalp care. This 12 oz (355 ml) formula is built for dry hair and — more importantly — a dry, tight or sensitive scalp, an audience most shampoos overlook entirely. It cleanses away sebum, sweat and product buildup while leaving the scalp's natural moisture barrier intact, so hair is clean without the tight, itchy, flaking aftermath. Three essential ceramides, the same lipids CeraVe uses in its skincare, help support that barrier; hyaluronic acid draws in and retains hydration; and niacinamide helps calm and soothe. The gentle, sulphate-free base produces a mild lather and rinses completely clean without weighing hair down.
