Differin Daily Deep Cleanser With 5% Benzoyl Peroxide

Differin Daily Deep Cleanser contains 5 percent benzoyl peroxide, a clinically established acne-fighting active, in a daily-use cleanser format. This 4 oz (118 ml) bottle works by killing the acne-causing bacteria inside pores, clearing existing breakouts while helping prevent new ones forming, and it clears away excess oil, sunscreen and daily build-up at the same time. At 5 percent it sits below maximum strength, which is deliberately useful: research suggests lower concentrations of benzoyl peroxide can be nearly as effective while causing considerably less dryness and irritation, making this a sensible choice for daily use or for skin new to the active. As a wash-off product it delivers the benefit with less of the persistent peeling that leave-on treatments cause. Note that benzoyl peroxide bleaches fabric — use white towels. Apply to wet skin, lather, leave on briefly, then rinse thoroughly and follow with a moisturiser. Start once daily and build up as tolerated, and wear broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
